Hmmm, this is another one of those, "Nigeria is not maximising its Afrobeats international dominance," something people say in relations to our food, and some other things like tourism and fashion.

I do wonder how that would be.

Just thinking out loud, I wonder what percentage of that traffic from UK and US are readers of Nigerian nationality versus foreigners (or if that matters at all, so long as the content is crossing borders).

A growing diaspora audience means eyeballs are migrating from Nigeria to the US/UK, which might explain why traffic from Nigeria is shrinking compared to America/Britain.

I think there's still enough eyeballs in Nigeria. Migrating population is not that big compared to the existing one. if nothing, domestic eyeballs should be increasing as more of the younger demography get interested.

I do agree; the diaspora community will make up the larger percentage of their readers.
